We work around your opening hours, not ours

⭐ Testing a retail unit or an office means either closing it or working outside its hours. We programme it so you are not choosing between compliance and a day of trading.

What we do

The report tells you what is actually urgent

An EICR that comes back with a list of codes and no explanation is a bill waiting to happen. You get told which items are genuinely C1 and C2 and have to be done, and which are improvement recommendations you can plan for.

Pricing

Every commercial job is scoped before it is priced.

⭐ A fit-out, a rolling test schedule and a one-off EICR are three different jobs, so a single number on a web page would be wrong for all three. Tell us the premises and the work and you get a real price for the scope.

Shop fit-outs, start to finish

A new unit or a refurbishment, programmed around the rest of the fit-out.

Drawings and programme

We work from the fit-out drawings and agree when we are on site alongside the other trades.

First fix

Containment, distribution and cabling in before the walls and ceilings close.

Second fix

Lighting, power and emergency lighting fitted and connected.

Test and handover

Tested and certified, with the paperwork ready for handover and opening.

What the report codes mean

So you know what has to be paid for, and what can wait. More on EICRs, codes and certificates →

C1: danger present

Immediate risk. Made safe straight away.

C2: potentially dangerous

Must be put right for the installation to be satisfactory.

C3: improvement recommended

Not a failure. Something to plan for when convenient.

FI: further investigation

Something we could not fully assess on the day, and need to look at further.

Common questions

How often does a commercial building need testing?

It depends on the use. IET Guidance Note 3 recommends intervals by building type, typically five years for shops and offices and shorter for industrial premises. We will tell you which applies to yours.

Can you test without closing us?

In most cases, yes. We programme the work around your opening hours, early, late or across several visits.

Do you work for main contractors?

Yes. We take on the electrical package on fit-outs and refurbishments for contractors and developers.
